Title: Rule 7: Clear and Simple Instructions
Author: [livejournal.com profile] nothorse
Rating: G
Word Count: 100
Prompt: bear/bare
Character: Buffy, Giles
Spoilers: none, set somewhere in the early seasons.
Disclaimer: Not mine. No money.

"Huh? Pick up a bear by it's claws?"

Buffy Summers was maybe the most gifted slayer of this century, thought Giles, but her ability to focus was ... lacking.

"No." Giles sighed, "We need this claw, to pick up the pr'clee pear. And we need that fruit to bring about the immediate decomposition of the demon into it's constituent parts."

Giles waited for the dawn of comprehension, sighed and simplified.

"Take this," he gave her the claw, "stick it here," he opened the box with the pr'clee pear, "hit the monster with it and it will fall apart in your backyard."

So I like these hide and seek games. First one to tell me spot the hidden prompt wins. The jumping-up-and-down-screaming-here-I-am prompt in the first line doesn't count.
